Jean-Marie Chevalier is a lecturer at UPEC and co-director of the Groupe de Recherche en Épistémologie. From 2011 to 2014, he was Claudine Tiercelin's assistant lecturer at the Metaphysics and Philosophy of Knowledge Chair at the Collège de France. A specialist in the philosophy of Charles S. Peirce, he has published articles on pragmatism, the philosophy of logic and the philosophy of knowledge, as well as three books in his own name : L'Empreinte du monde (Ithaque, 2013), Qu'est-ce que raisonner ? (Vrin, 2016), and Peirce, ou l'invention de l'épistémologie (Vrin, 2022).
