Yanick Lahens holds the new Francophone Worlds Chair, created in partnership with the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie

The Collège de France announces the creation of a Francophone Worlds chair, in partnership with the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie. Writer Yanick Lahens is named the first holder of this chair.

Alain Prochiantz, Administrator of the Collège de France, and Jean-Paul de Gaudemar, Rector of the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), signed the partnership agreement creating the Francophone Worlds chair at the Collège de France on July 4, 2018. This chair, initially created for three years, will see a new holder from a French-speaking country succeed each year, in various fields of the arts and sciences. Writer Yanick Lahens has been appointed the first holder for the 2018/2019 academic year.
