Stanislas Dehaene, Gérard Berry and Esther Duflo appointed to newly-created National Education Scientific Council on January 10, 2018

On January 10, the French Minister of Education installed the members of the Conseil Scientifique de l'Éducation Nationale and presented their missions.

The Council has an advisory role and is made up of some twenty leading figures from different scientific disciplines. It can be consulted on any subject in order to provide relevant insights into education.

The members of the Conseil Scientifique de l'Éducation Nationale include two full professors and one visiting professor from the Collège de France:

Stanislas Dehaene, holder of the Experimental Cognitive Psychology chair, has been appointed Chairman. Gérard Berry, holder of the Algorithmes, machines et langages chair, and Esther Duflo, who held the Knowledge against poverty-AFD chair (2008-2009), are appointed members of the same board.
