Opening up Korean collections to the world : digitization, research and teaching support

The Korean Studies Library of the Pôle Mondes asiatiques of theInstitut des Civilisations organized the " The KF-ENKRS Network Workshop 2024 " at the Collège de France from May16-18 , sponsored by the Korea Foundation and GIS Asie (ENKRS: European Network of Korean Resources Specialists). On this occasion, H. E. Ambassador BAK Sang Mee of the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Korea to UNESCO came to the Collège de France to encourage the participating members. She was received by Administrator Thomas Römer, who also gave her a tour of the teachers' assembly hall and the Collège's belvedere. The ENKRS provided an opportunity for Korean studies specialists from Europe to meet with librarians from the USA and Korea. A dozen resource providers were present, including two from Tokyo who distribute DPRK documentary resources (Kong & Park Inc., Korea Media Co., Media Korean Studies, NK Pro, Nurimedia, Panmun Co.).
