Justice at work. A few lessons from history

From Solon to the gilets jaunes, history's repeated experience teaches us that injustice, when it exceeds certain limits, inevitably engenders violence and threatens peace, both between nations and within them. Social justice is not a soul enhancer for good-hearted idealists, but a guarantee of stability for realistic politicians. Can history also teach us what justice is ? Or does it only show us the disastrous effects of its absence ?
