Prof. Carlo Ossola, holder of the Modern Literatures of Neolatin Europe Chair (1999-2020), is one of the winners of the Gay-Lussac Humboldt Prize 2021, awarded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
This distinction adds to the list of Collège de France professors who have already received this award: Jean-Marie Lehn (1982), Pierre-Gilles de Gennes (1983), Claude Cohen-Tannoudji (1990), Serge Haroche (1991), Pierre Corvol (1993) and Clément Sanchez (2007).
The prize includes a research stay of at least six months in a German organization. For Prof. Ossola, this will be the Petrarch Institute at the University of Cologne, directed by Prof. Andreas Kablitz.
