On October 31, 2018, the Collège de France signed a tripartite agreement with Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences to promote the development of joint research projects, particularly in biology and medicine, and to enable lectures by Collège professors to take place in China at the invitation of these partners.
The agreement also provides for the hosting of young Chinese research trainees in Collège de France laboratories. The ceremony, attended by the Administrator of the Collège de France, took place on the occasion of scientific meetings co-organized by the Collège de France and its Chinese partners on October 31 and November 1, focusing on three main topics: public health, neuroscience and cancer research.
