The opening lecture for the History of Medieval Philosophy chair was entitled : " Where is medieval philosophy going ? "
The answer, at the time, was that it was going " where philosophy is " and that it was " where philosophy is going ". It was an open-ended formula.
After six years, it's time for a more explicit answer, cum fundamento in re. The best way to do this is for those who make this discipline exist where they are to come and tell us themselves about their projects, their results, their perspectives, their diagnoses, even their moods - to answer, in short, collectively, what have been and, above all, what will be the " travaux " that bring us together.
