Presentation

In many countries, border control has become a major political issue, raising moral questions about the treatment of refugees and migrants. A rarely studied dimension of this phenomenon concerns the discrimination that takes place on these borders according to the origin of the exiles, their appearance or their religion. The Racial Borders symposium aims to critically explore what we might call the " racialization of borders " in several national contexts on four continents. The confrontation of these different configurations leads to a broader reflection on the forms of inequality that borders generate.

The conference is in English, with simultaneous translation. All are welcome.
