Probabilistic programming

Probabilistic programming provides powerful tools for statistical modeling. It draws on formal semantics, compilers and other tools from programming languages to build efficient evaluators for statistical learning models and applications, using inference theories and algorithms from statistics. This colloquium will cross the points of view of researchers in programming languages, statistics and learning on recent advances and applications in probabilistic programming.
