Patrick Criqui
Emeritus Research Director at CNRS, Grenoble Applied Economics Laboratory, UGA. Scientific advisor to Enerdata and associate researcher at IDDRI.
In the course of his research, he developed a global energy model, the POLES model, now used by the European Commission and various companies in Europe for economic analysis of climate policies. He was also lead author of Working Group 3 of the IPCC (collectively awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007).
He is a member of the Conseil de l'économie pour le développement durable, the scientific advisory boards of IFPEN and the Climate Economics Chair, and has taught at various universities in France and abroad. His current work focuses on long-term strategies for low-emission development and the evaluation of abatement costs for France Stratégie.
