Analysis and geometry

In my lecture, I showed that stable homotopy classes of deformations of C*algebras define a bivariant theory E(A,B) that simplifies and improves Kasparov's bivariant K-theory. The resulting theory is semi-exact in its two variables and extends to Banach algebras.
