    Abstract

    Abstract of cuneiform text discoveries at Tell Mardikh/Ebla and contrast with what was known before 1968. Main scientific debates on archival texts since the 1970s, with typological analysis. Subsequent discussion of post-Ebla archival texts and related issues (from the Amorrite question to the Freilassung found at Boğazköy/Hattusa).
