Pierre Corvol, Professor Emeritus at the Collège de France, Administrator of the Collège de France from 2006 to 2012 and President of the Académie des Sciences for 2019-2020, is the winner of the 2019 Leonardoda Vinci Award presented by theEuropean Academy of Sciences.
This award recognizes his outstanding contribution to the development of major branches of medicine, notably in the field of hormonal control of water and salt metabolism and cardiovascular regulation, as well as his decisive commitment to ethics and integrity in scientific research.
