Abstract

The lecture discusses liquid phase transitions in the presence of chemical reactions, following the approach proposed by F. Julicher's group. Emphasis is placed on non-equilibrium chemical reactions and applications to biological condensates. He then discusses the dynamics of phase transitions in the presence of chemical reactions and the conditions that can lead to finite-size phases (active emulsions).
