After completing a Chemistry-Biology degree at Université Paris Cité, Roache went on to complete a bi-disciplinary Master 1 in Chemistry-Biology at Université Paris Saclay and a Master 2 in Molecular Chemistry at Sorbonne Université. His dual career path gave him a grounding in both chemistry and biology. He had the opportunity to apply his knowledge in both fields by doing his L3 internship in chemistry, his M1 in biology and his M2 at the interface of chemistry and biology.

In order to deepen these areas of study through research and to multiply his skills, Roache is starting a multidisciplinary thesis in the Chemistry of Biological Processes laboratory, where he will study two enzymes with a [4Fe-4S] center, UbiU and UbiV, involved in an anaerobic hydroxylation reaction. The specificity of these enzymes lies in the fact that, for this hydroxylation, they use a source of oxygen derived from an organic molecule, namely prephenate.
