Professor Serge Haroche and young researchers from the Collège de France take part in the Genoa Science Festival (Italy)

Professor Serge Haroche will open the Science Festival on October 24 with a lecture entitled "Fundamental research, time for reflection".

Thanks to the support of the Scientific Service of the French Embassy in Italy, three researchers associated with the Collège de France will also be contributing to the festival:

  • Igor Dotsenko, Senior Lecturer in Quantum Physics, will speak on "From the nanoscopic to the macroscopic world";
  • Jean-Marie Chevalier, Senior Lecturer at the Metaphysics and Philosophy of Knowledge Chair (years 2011-2013), will discuss philosophical views on the reality of physical time;
  • Davide Cerrati, doctoral student at the Laboratory of Condensed Matter Chemistry (Chair of Hybrid Materials Chemistry), will talk about the history of entropy.
